Tasty Tuesday: Mug Cake in Minutes

Hi there!

I have so much to celebrate today; I’m finally over the worst with this awful viral infection and this blog post is my 100th post since I started my blog. Hooray!

I can’t believe I’ve reached 100 posts already. I’d like to thank everyone who follows and reads my blog. You rock!

So let me eat cake…mug cake!

I love mug cakes. They are an excellent quick sugar fix, especially when I don’t have time to bake. This recipe serves two, which means I shared it between me and myself. πŸ™‚ I like to remember this recipe as the 4, 3, 2, 1 mug cake recipe. You’ll see why:

4 Tablespoons Flour

3 Tablespoons Sugar

2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

1 teaspoon Baking Powder

1 Egg

3 Tablespoons Milk

2 Tablespoons oil

A Splash of Vanilla Essence

How to make it:

Get a large mug and spray it with non-stick spray. (I stole Mr’s favourite mug.)

Combine the dry ingredients in the mug.

Add the wet ingredients and combine with a fork.

Microwave on high for three minutes.

Serve with frosting or ice cream.

  1. Had to report back, I had this last night. It was SO good – but I discovered after I had already started that I had no cocoa powder so I just did 2 TBSP of sugar and 3 TBSP of hot chocolate mix and it came out great :).
