Second Chances and an Opportunity for Kindness

kindness_quote.jpg

I can’t believe it’s week 4 of the Kindness Challenge. I am more conscious of the kindness that surrounds me and the numerous opportunities for kindness that life presents on a daily basis. I have to post my week 3 check in, but this story was so compelling that I couldn’t wait to share it with you!

Pam Green of Second Chances needs your help.

Second Chances is the first non-profit company in South Africa that creates social upliftment by using social media. #SecondChances asks its followers to help and watch the highs and lows of the lives they change. Second Chances focuses on unemployment, addiction, hopelessness and abuse. They give a second chance to people through employment opportunities, sobriety support, education and sponsorships. Their program proves that anyone can turn their life around with some assistance.

Second Chances is about R250 000 in debt ($16 033.87 or £11 081.92). Pam started begging at the corner of Greyson and Rivonia roads in Sandton to raise money to keep Second Chances’ doors open. She’s helped about 200 people and fed 3000 children through her feeding scheme so far. Pam has the passion and drive to make Second Chances a huge success.

      1. Aww thank you but I can’t take the credit for that. I’m handing out magnifying glasses and what people see is determined by what they look for 🙂
