Sitting on the Sunglasses at Sea Point Beach

The Sea Point Promenade is one of our favourite weekend hang out places with the kids or for a sunset stroll. I’ve been coming to Sea Point and Sea Point park since childhood, but the sunglasses are a relatively new installment to the promenade. The sunglasses look out onto Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years.

The sunglasses are in the distance to the right of the photograph. It was a warm Thursday and many people were out as it was one of the last days of the school holidays. Madam is growing so fast, it seems like both children will be much taller than me very soon. They really do grow too fast.

Here are a few family pics that Mr has taken while we were there. I hope you enjoy them.

Mr hoisted Madam all the way up and helped her climb down as well, this put his back out but it was all worth it to see her smile like that.

The kids loved it so much. This is a must see for anyone visiting Cape Town.

Let me know what you think!

      1. Wild is the right word. I haven’t seen rain like that in years. Our garage was flooded, knee high in water, and a downstairs room, not too much damage considering what other people have lost. Some frightening things happened around here and still people are literally missing with bodies not found. So sad. Thank you for asking ❤
