The word compassion means “to suffer together” or as www.dictionary.com defines it as ‘a feeling of distress and pity for the suffering or misfortune of another, often including the desire to alleviate it.’
I find myself writing this set of affirmations and collecting the following quotes, because it seems like compassion is hard to come by these days.
I’d like to encourage you to say these affirmations with me and perhaps engage in a compassionate act this week.
Being compassionate to others makes us and others feel good simultaneously!
Ways we can be more compassionate are:
- Listening to understand, not simply to reply.
- Be kind.
- Ask others about their day.
- Be mindful and attentive.
- Share your gifts with others.
- Help those in need.
- Always be thankful.
Here are this week’s affirmations:
May you have a compassionate week ahead. Don’t forget to let me know what you think of this post by commenting below!
