Sunday Afternoon Spent Hiking Sugar Loaf.

Nothing Fancy, Just Life.

Sunday afternoon was the perfect day to get away from the stresses of school for a little bit and enjoy the beauty of God’s nature. I live in Greenbrier which is about 45 minutes from a few of the more popular liking spots in central Arkansas. Petit Jean State Park, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and Sugar Loaf  Mountain are places I travel to often to get away and to enjoy some fresh air.

Sugar Loaf mountain is located in Heber Springs, Arkansas behind Arkansas State University of Heber Springs. There is an easy accessible parking lot that welcomes you to the beginning of the trails. There are three main trails to choose from: the Pond Trail, the Summit Trail, and the Base Trail. I have only ever hiked the Summit Trail which is the tail leading right up to the mountain.
