100 Word Story – Big Shoes

Hi there!

I’ve started writing 100 word stories to flex my writing muscles a bit in between children’s fiction writing. I hope you enjoy my first 100 word story called Big Shoes.

“Well where’d you get those?” Gran asked admiring my stance in her old 6 inch red suede platform stilettos.

“It’s vintage,” I said with a chuckle.

“Hey! I’m not that old!”

“Take it as a compliment. I’d rather fill your shoes than anyone else’s, Gran,” I said while swishing from side to side in her floral button down dress.

“These pearls will complete the outfit, Rodger,” she rummaged through her jewellery box and retrieved a string of glistening pearls.

“Yes, they’ll bring out my eyes.” I winked.

“Absolutely!” she beamed.

“On a serious note, Gran, can I keep these shoes?”
