Hi there! We made it to the 24th day of Blogmas. I’m doing a happy dance in my seat right now.
I’m really proud of myself, because I was unable to complete Blogmas last year and set a goal to finish this year. I also didn’t finish NaNoWriMo this year, due to health issues but I’ll start this gratitude post by being grateful for my health.
I wanted to take a second during the pre-Christmas rush and reflect on what I’m grateful for this year. I’d also like to extend my love to those who lost loved ones this year and those who don’t have anyone to spend Christmas with. We’ve just lost a family member and he’ll definitely be missed around the table this year.
I’m also grateful for my family and parents. If you’ve been following my blog, you know my father has been really ill this year and I’m glad he’s able to spend another Christmas with us this year.
I’m grateful for my husband and kids, who make my life interesting every day.
I’m grateful for the ability to tell stories and touch people with my words.
I’m grateful for something to eat on Christmas day and every other day of the year.
I’m grateful for water to drink, my home town (Cape Town) is experiencing a terrible drought at the moment.
I’m grateful for the new friends in Kenya, who’ve welcomed us like family and old friends, who’ve stuck around through the good and bad.
I’m grateful for a bestie who can bake the most amazing Christmas cake, that I look forward to every December.
I’m grateful for you. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking time out of your day to read and comment.
I’m grateful to those who have purchased and read my books. You keep my dream alive.
Thank you. I appreciate you.
Love, Blessings and Season’s Greetings,
